How to install Forge?

Forge is a mod loader commonly used to download and create mods for Minecraft.

 

You will need Java to install Forge. See. Follow this article to learn how to install Java.

 

- Switch to site Minecraft Forge

- Select the version of Minecraft you need from the list on the left.

- Click "Show all versions".

- Select the Forge version from the list. In most cases, it's enough to just use the Forge version at the top of the list.

 

 

Run the installer file.jar (in macOS you need to right-click and click Open to bypass Gatekeeper protection), a window similar to this should pop up (in the screenshot, the installation window in Linux).

 

 

Click install. After the installation is complete, the Forge version will appear in your launcher.

In our launcher you can immediately install the desired Forge version. Just click on the version number, and select the desired one from the drop-down list.
