This week's snapshot introduces several new game rules and several gameplay changes.

 

CHANGES IN 22W44A

- Bamboo mosaic can now be used as fuel.
- Chiseled bookshelves now work with funnels.
- Additional changes in the creative inventory
- Changes to the monster generator.
- Changes in the spawn egg.
- Step sound changes.

 

CHANGES IN CREATIVE INVENTORY

 

- Operator-only blocks and items can now be found in the Redstone Blocks tab if you have the necessary permissions.

- Function blocks

- Tinted glass
- Bee's nest

- The rebirth anchor has been moved in front of the beds.
- The pressure plates are reordered according to functionality.
- The End Portal Frame and Infested blocks have been moved to this tab from the Natural Blocks tab.

- Oven
- Composter

- Building blocks

 

- Added:

 

- Chain
- Amethyst block

- The block of red stone and the block of coal have been moved to this tab from the "Natural blocks" tab.

- Crafting

- The following tabs have been reordered for greater consistency

- The order of ore materials and blocks has been changed so that they are more consistent on the tabs.

Monster spawners

- Spawners no longer have the default appearance type of mobs when a player places them (previously it was a pig).
- Will not emit fire particles if the spawn type of mobs is not defined.- Renamed to Monster Spawner to match Bedrock, and removed the purple text color.
- Pick-block now works for Spawner blocks
- The mob type is now displayed when you hover over the Spawner item stack.

 

- If the type of mob has not yet been defined, the description will describe how to install it when hovering over it.

SPAWN EGGS

- Added new Spawn Egg items for Ender Dragon, Iron Golem, Snow Golem and Wither mobs in creative mode.

 

- Ender Dragon and Wither Spawn Eggs will be available only through commands to prevent accidental destruction of player builds.

- The colors of the polar bear summoning egg have been changed to distinguish it from the gast summoning egg.

SOUNDS

- Footsteps can now be heard when walking on:

 

- Carpets
- Water Lilies
- Small amethyst buds

- Footsteps are now audible when walking through:

 

- Lower shoots
- Luminous lichen
- Crimson roots
- Distorted roots
