SEUS Renewed - Shaders for Minecraft

 

SEUS Renewed is one of the shader packages from the SEUS shader family. This is a new version of the original SEUS shaders, which were last updated in 2016. However, the updated shaders correspond to the latest versions of Minecraft.

 

This shader pack offers outstanding high-quality features such as high-resolution shadows, anti-aliasing, and realistic animation. Animations in this sense refer to the slight fluctuation of foliage and realistic animation of water in Minecraft. The inclusion of this shader pack will immediately add many realistic aspects to your world.

 

 

Besides its realistic features, it also works better on mid-range machines. Especially if you compare it with its older brothers SEUS PTGI and SEUS PTGI HRR.

 

This shader pack is a great high-quality shader pack with an appearance similar to SEUS PTGI. They both offer stunning visuals, but they obviously have their differences as well.

 

 

The first feature that is missing from this shader package is obvious: it does not use path tracing. Path tracking is what "PT" means in PTGI, and this method makes reflections and indirect lighting more realistic. It is clear that all this additional work has its price. That's why Renewed gives a higher FPS than SEUS PTGI with a similar setup.

 

A feature that PTGI does not have (yet) is support for texture packs. Both Renewed and SEUS PTGI HRR support this, which means you can use texture packs that require POM and PBR support. With this feature, you can add additional details to textures, such as reflections, light emission, and self-shading.

 

 

Renewed and PTGI HRR do a good job of selecting textures using POM and PBR. Reflections with SEUS PTGI HRR will be a little more realistic, as this softened version of PTGI uses the aforementioned path tracking technique. However, SEUS Renewed is a winner when it comes to FPS with texture support enabled.

 

Shaders are suitable for version Minecraft 1.18.2. You also need to install OptiFine.
